We understand that plans may change, but please note our CANCELLATION POLICY for the 2024 Shady Creek Immersion:

Cancellations made 30 days or more before the start date of the retreat will receive a refund, less a $108 nonrefundable deposit. For cancellations made within 30 days of the retreat start date, no refunds will be issued, and the entire amount paid will be forfeited.

In no case may registration fees paid for this event be transferred to another person or any future event.

Shuttle reservations are final. Once reserved, no shuttle refunds will be issued if any portion of your trip is canceled.

The location for the immersion retreat is at the Shady Creek Retreat Center, a gorgeous facility nestled in the rolling foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range.

Shady Creek provides an ideal environment for learning, relaxing, dining and enjoying the beauty of nature.

The Shady Creek Retreat Center features a variety of indoor and outdoor facilities for activities and lodging. The main hall is a stunning work of architecture and the property includes a beautiful outdoor amphitheater, over 130 acres of forest with hiking trails, and of course, the Shady Creek.

Shared Cabin

Shared same-sex cabins housing 3-8 guests. If you have someone in mind who you want to room with, please specify that in the registration process when asked. You will need to bring all of your bedding and toiletries with you or (new this year!) pay $30 for bedding provided by Shady Creek.

Camping

There are some wonderful on-site camping options available. You will need to bring your own tent, bedding and toiletries. We are happy to assist you with tent set up if you need it.

The closest airport is the Sacramento International Airport, with the Reno International Airport only slightly further. Rental cars are available to travel from the airport to the event, with parking available onsite. Driving directions from the airports can be found in the printable Information Packet below.

A shuttle service to and from the Sacramento International Airport will be available for an additional fee of $80 one way or $150 roundtrip.

There will be one airport pick-up on June 8th and one shuttle departure on June 12th. If you will be requiring shuttle service, you must coordinate your arrival and departure times around the shuttle schedule.

IMPORTANT: When booking your flight, please make sure you arrive before 2 pm on Saturday, June 8th and depart after 5 pm on Wednesday, June 12th. You cannot complete your shuttle reservation until your flight is purchased, AND you have your flight # and arrival time. Be sure to indicate your shuttle needs on the registration form to receive further info.

This event is not suitable for young children who require supervision, and we do not offer childcare. Mature young people who plan to participate in the sessions are encouraged to register and attend. Shady Creek is an outdoor school generally hosting children’s educational camps, so the accommodations are designed for function over style. Most rooms have twin bunk beds that can accommodate 8-12 people. Generally, you’ll be sharing with 3-5 other attendees. Room amenities are limited, but so is the time you’ll be spending in your room!
